Truck driver’s comp claim settled for a lump sum payment. – MyRecentCases

… A 36-year-old truck driver pulled his rig into a parking lot to pick up a load.  Another truck driving on the road behind him unexpectedly drove off the road, crashing into the stopped rig and pushing it forward.  The truck driver injured his neck and shoulder. The truck driver attempted to work for over a year, but eventually had to stop.  His employer paid his medical bills but refused to pay his lost wages.  A worker’s compensation claim was filed and assigned to a judge. After deposition was taken from the truck driver’s pain medicine doctor, the worker’s compensation insurer agreed to settle the claim for a lump sum.
