… A 53-year-old corporate attorney was stopped in a routine backup on the interstate on his way to work. Suddenly, he heard a bang behind him and then a second bang. A large truck with a push bar hit the car behind him, driving it into his car which, in turn, was pushed into the car in front of him. All told, there was a four-vehicle pile up. The attorney sustained neck injuries but his main problem was a concussion. He had headaches, blurred vision, dizziness and problems in concentration for several months. At first, he was unable to work. Later, he returned to work part time, and, then finally, full time. The corporate attorney’s case was settled with the insurance company for the pickup truck after a lawsuit was filed and depositions were taken.
