Water company truck runs over widow in a crosswalk, she needs extensive knee surgeries. MyRecentCases

street-view-1-w-arrows… A 76-year-old widow was walking home from exercise class at the local senior center.  She was crossing the street in the crosswalk with a “walk” sign when a local water authority truck turned into her, knocking her down, and running over her leg.  The widow sustained devastating injuries to her leg, including a severe break in her knee joint.  She needed surgery with screws and an external device to keep her bones in place while they healed.  She had a long course of recovery both in the hospital and then in a nursing home for rehabilitation. After the widow finally recovered from her serious injuries, her case settled for a significant sum with the water company’s insurer.
